Mt. Carmel Academy

Mount Carmel Academy is located in a beautiful English Tudor Gothic facility adjacent to the magnificent Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the heart of the Lakeview community. The Sisters of Mercy established our school in 1888, two years after Father Patrick O'Brien founded the church. Almost 120 years later, Mount Carmel Academy still reigns as one of Chicago's premiere elementary schools.
